10 New Guides: Overlooked Headlands & an Island That Isn't a Day Trip

This update: Marrickville and Vaucluse, two quiet headland walks, Harris Park's Indian food, and an honest look at Lord Howe Island.

What's new this week

Ten more guides, including one that breaks our own format on purpose:

Neighbourhoods: Marrickville, finally getting its own dedicated page after showing up repeatedly in our food coverage, and Vaucluse — the quiet peninsula suburb between the harbour and the open ocean.

Things to do: Two genuinely overlooked headlands — La Perouse & Bare Island at Botany Bay's entrance, and North Head near Manly, both delivering some of the best coastal views near Sydney with a fraction of the crowds of the better-known lookouts.

Food & drink: Harris Park, Sydney's Little India, and a Greek food guide extending beyond Marrickville into the southern suburbs' Greek community.

Day trips: Berry & the South Coast, a quieter alternative to the Southern Highlands, and Lord Howe Island — which we're including with a clear caveat that it's not actually a day trip, but is genuinely worth knowing about for anyone with more time.

Practical info: Drone and photography rules (genuinely enforced in central Sydney, worth checking before you fly), and how short-term rental regulations in NSW affect what's available to book.
